1.0 Extreme Okeetee & comparison

You are right that is the only difference, extreme are breed by the SMR, KJ and Graham and although we use abbotts for wide banded OK's it should be limited to only ones bred by Lee Abbott or like Love's line of Okeetees.
Nice one
John

from Graham's website (bolds are mine):

"Extreme Okeetee Cornsnake (E. g. guttata)

One of my personal favorites, our colony has been painstakingly hand-picked over many years from the nation’s top bloodlines. Our animals exhibit bright orange background coloration, bold vermillion blotches and extra thick black borders. These are the best of the best! "

Alias1's snake is from Don's "Extreme Okeetee" line...not every baby hatched is going to be a "perfect" example, especially when you are dealing with line bred looks vs. simple recessive or codominant traits.

It's a sweet Okeetee with an awesome pedigree :*)

Thanks guys!!

It's hard to talk about perfect examples...This is the reason why I love Classics/Okeetees. I have 3 Okeetees from Lee Abbott and all of them are looking completely different ==> but they are beautiful :D

Thanks guys!!

I hear ya! I really am hoping to see more "established" lines out there for people to see, get some info on or even learn the history behind what is "Okeetee".

No collection is complete without a nice Okeetee :)

From what I understand, Okeetee is just the name of a private piece of land in South Carolina where snake hunters used to find corns that looked like that. People aren't allowed to anymore but it still exists. They were collected and selectively bred for thick, jet black borders and vibrant colors and named after that piece of land. Okeetees are high-end normals.
