2009 Yahoo - Pro Football Pickem - Contest - Prizes

What the heck is up with Kickers this year? I honestly have never been so disappointed with the outcome of games in my life, and this game is 1 of 2 Texans games alone that have bitten me in the rear end with lousy kicking. Just disgraceful!!!

On a side note... Go Vince, I'm so glad to see him succeed, and if it weren't for me picking Houston, I would have been rooting for the Titans. Great game!!!

Sorry, Josh!! "Nothing personal. It's just business!!"

:)

As for the kicking game... One of my things is that I NEVER rely on a kicker to make a FG... esp. from over 40 yards (although the Titans kicker made one from 53??). I HATE putting all my hopes on a FG kicker.

It is also kind of funny how the announcer will say something like... (just an example)... Raphael Septien has made 45 straight FG's in the post season..." AND THEN, of course, he'll MISS! Hate that!!!! It really seems like the jynx is on when they do that. LOL.

Oh, I agree 100%!!! From a teams perspective, you need to go out and win without relying on a kicker. But from a kickers perspective... how the @$*^# do you miss anything less than 50yds... It's all they are asked to do, and they get paid darn well to kick.

No sour grapes though. Like you said, you can't rely on kickers to do anything but disappoint you when it matters. I still had a fair week, and I'm happy that the Titans pulled out another win!

Congrats again to Darcy!

Man!... I miss a couple weeks and go from the middle to the bottom. I'll see if I can get back to the middle of the pack by the end of the season.

Vince Young definitely deserves a round of applause. He is a true winner, and I'm actually starting to think that his future with the Titans will bring him a ring. That team is slowly getting healthy on defense, and that offense is just firing on all cylinders with Young at the helm. He's not trying to do too much, which has really caused Chris Johnson to become an even more dominant force running the ball. GO TITANS... Except against the Ravens!!!

LOL. I knew that, but when I went to look them over again, it temporarily had GB "Correct" over Detroit as if the game had already played. It isn't like that now... after I refreshed the page. LOL.

Actually there's three, Raiders beating the Cowboys and the Lions losing to whoever they're playing, and Giants Vs Bronco's...
LOL. So I take it that the only "good" game to watch will be Giants / Broncos? LOL.

I know that the Cowboys tend to play DOWN to their opponents, but do you SERIOUSLY think they're bad enough to lose to the Raiders???

I'm just kidding, of course, but I did read a sports mag that had some very unflattering things to say about Jamarcus Russell... :grin01:

The Cowboys should easily have a W over the Raiders, but then again so should the Eagles and Bengals, so you never know?

Giants vs Broncos is a great game. It's really important for both teams to play well, seeing both looked like early season division winners, but have since descended into wild card contenders.

LOL, well they BARELY beat Washington... I see a downward spiral

We're looking forward to our draft pick... Tim Tebow...

Hmmmmm.... I think Tim Tebow will probably pull an Elway and get out of playing in Oakland. Career death sentence right now...

Oh, nobody else wants Tebow except maybe Jacksonville so they can get his fans to show up and fill seats. The only reason Oakland would take him would to hopefully use him as leverage to get Steve Spurrier as a future coach...
