2014 corn breeding at Elemental Exotics.

Took some updated pictures of a number of the corn hatchlings. It was overcast today for the most part, so these were taken outside.

SxV61114-4. I tried very hard to keep these pictures organized but these next two are marked Number 4 but I'd almost swear these are two different snakes ... So don't know about these ...

Oooh! A detective game! I'll play! :) I'm leaning towards them being different, cuz a quick look didn't yield any parts of the pattern I could match up for sure.

...runs off to compare these with the pics posted earlier...

OK. I think the second one of those two is #4, and the other is the imposter. Compare the circled part in these pics. Big saddle with light spot in it followed by a little and odd shaped saddle. Don't see anything like that on the first of those two pictures.

As a very interesting note, a local friend wanted to breed his corn "pair" this year but then found out that both are actually females. So he borrowed Vash on a breeding loan even though he didn't match up very good with their genes. Well, the first clutch from one of those pairings just hatched, the female is an Anery A with unknown hets. Surprisingly, all the babies that hatched, all 20 of them, are ghosts and Anery A's! Which means that at the very least Vash is het Anery A or possibly even homo Anery A, making him a Platinum instead of the Phantom he was sold as. Making these babies either 50% het Anery or 100% het Anery.

Or platinums if the mother of this clutch also carries Anery A.

I haven't actually done the math, but I know that getting all babies in a 20 egg clutch to hatch out visual if one of the parents was a het is exceedingly unlikely, making it very likely that Vash is homo Anery A. Pretty sure 20 is enough to be better than 99% certain.

Nice Clutch!

Your Male could still be just Het Anery A, I bought a pair of really Nice looking Okeetees many years ago and bred them together and got 100% Amels from this pairing, and there were over 20 babys!:shrugs:

Number 12 that was taken with the others before but somehow the pictures didn't get uploaded.

DYK, yep! I'd first come up with 13 girls and 8 boys by candling and my more experienced friend came up with 18 girls and only 3 boys but he was having a hard time telling with them too, so now I'm actually even more confused. There are a number of them that we both are very convinced are female and all of those are the really dark ones though. The friend sexed Avedan as female, so I'm really interested to see what you come up with when s/he arrives!

Although, Number 19 is fairly dark and is one of the ones that both my friend and I sexed as male.

The day was mostly overcast but the sun kept trying to come out and was changing the light every two seconds, was kind of annoying! So that didn't help.
