35 Egg Corn Clutch. NO SLUGS!!!!

How big was Momma?? She looks to be rather HUGH!

Regards... Tim of T and J

no, nowhere near,. its around 20 short of that.
still, thats a damb big litter.
Is it just me though, or does anyone else find that any real big clutch, is always from a lower end morph?.
I have yet to see soemthing like a blood stripe, plasma give 30+.
my biggest of the last 7 or 8 years was this year, a 5 Yo serpenco blood female, on her 2nd year breeding, gave 25 eggs, 22 good. I dont often get over 20, I tend to have more slender females so end up with 15-16, but this way I rarely get overweight or eggbound snakes, as I have found most eggbound snakes are fat... this my experience, not an opinion or anything.

I think our biggest clutch here has been 22 fertiles..

Well, you might have a good reason to think that, especially since your going to get some female Okeetees that will lays clutches of that size.. Might be we have been isolating the larger females out or perhaps breeding them when they are a bit to young..????

I think overall that may be a suitable answer, but I have yet to see any seriously big clutch over say 30?, produced by any female other than normal, amel or anery really.
I know its not that important, but just really going along the terms of the thread.
I am happy with smaller than 20 per litter in most of mine, dont want too many of the same thing.

Thanks guys. The eggs are all still looking good and mamma is doing well and feeding heavy. We'll see if she has anything left for the second clutch. This is still pretty unbelievable. I never thought that I would see a clutch this size. I will update when the eggs hatch.
