A Feeding Question

sax321

Ophidian
I am new to corn snakes and just got mine (a charcoal corn - named him Ophidian) last weekend. My question is about when I go to feed him. Due to my schedule, a good time for me to feed him is in the morning. Does anyone think this will be a problem? Or do I need to rearrange my schedule so that I am home at night to feed him?

Thanks in advance for anyone who is willing to help out a new guy! So far I love the site and the support everyone gives each other.

Sometimes a corn will show a preference to a certain time, usually at night, but its pretty rare. Most don't care when you feed them, so you should have no problems feeding yours in the morning.

Feeding your snake in the evening fits its metabolism best, because corn snakes are nocturnal animals. But it's not very likely that there will be problems, as long as everything else (housing, temperatures, humidity) is optimal.

Thanks for your quick responses!! I appreciate your input. I'll see what I can do about getting food to him at night if I can, but am pleased to know that he'll be okay if I can't.

Thanks!!!
