Amel's over the years

Amel's always seem to get that "oh, it's just an amel" type respect, but without them the morph craze in corns may never have reached the level it is today :*)

Just a few from over the years...

First pair of corns I bred

what kind of snake is that? i thought it was a corn haha :) thanks you guys! :)

It's an amelanistic bubblegum rat snake I had yrs ago, from Kathy Love. They were two or three way crosses of black, yellow and/or everglades rat snakes, with amel thrown in :*)

They may be the "oldest morph in the book," but I like amels!

Holy Moly, Brett, how much does Dezmond weigh??? Wow, he's gotten big!!! Just gorgeous!!

Okay, before I show you my pics, I have to tell you a story. I was talking to the breeder I got Wishbone from at the last Mars show. He told me he knew a guy at the local feed store ( Gettysburg, Pa. ) who told him that he needed to come and relieve the store of a large snake that was hanging around eating the mice that were getting into the bags of feed. When he arrived, he found the snake easily because it turned out to be a very fat, amel corn snake. Do I need to tell people here that corns are not native to Pa.? So he took it home and its now one of his major breeders. Its also a sweetheart. He had it at the show along with some of its babies and it was just a love.

Here's Wishbone when she was still little and cute. The pic in the skull is the most recent. ( I really need to sit down and update her pics since now she's a teen-ager. ) But she's a sweetie even though she's ONLY an AMEL.:duck: I only have two corns ( for now! ) and they're both amels but I wouldn't trade either for love or money. They're great!

Here's Draco. Yes, he's just another amel but I love him to pieces! He's got the perfect temperment. Anyone can hold him. His only problem is that he has an abnormal fascination for getting into women's bras! That's why I need to get him a woman OF HIS OWN SPECIES!

I have 2 beautiful sisters... don't know anything about hets, etc because the guy I got them from bred them himself and really didn't seem to know much about them.

These pictures were just taken a few weeks ago, right after sheds... the girls are about 5 months old now...
