Alien Lover
I can't live without my iPhone. I have 150 apps on it that I USE. I love it. Mostly I love being on the Internet no matter where I am. I have the windshield-mounted cradle and there are a bunch of things I can use it for when driving, even, such as Marco Popo, Traffic, Google Earth, and running the Maps app side by side with my GPS.
I also have a one generation back, I think, Nano. It lives in the truck and I refill it with Podcasts every couple-three months. Can't live without it. It has replaced books on CD.
I had a Shuffle for cycling (I'd leave one earplug out) and I tell you, I would have died on 40-hour rides without it. Died of boredom. After I stopped using it regularly, I didn't keep it charged, and it died. It was the first gen, and a very perfect thing.
I've used Macs at work, for websites and editing. I had no problems with them and really can't compare what I was doing to doing it with a PC, because I only used Macs for that stuff.
I have a Dell laptop, that is my primary computer. I have Mini, the 9" Dell. I love Mini, and just use it for surfing the web and e-mail, and it's the perfect size for traveling or throwing in my purse while I sit at the mechanics and get my oil changed.
I think, if I _could_ afford the iPad, I would wait a generation or two and see what they add on. I'd like to see a USB port, Flash I guess, (does it have a GPS? I think so.) Anyway, just see what they do with it to make it better. But as is, I certainly would rather be surfing and e-mailing on that rather than the iPhone. The whole attraction of the iPhone is the touchscreen and the amazing display. I totally understand what they mean when they say with the iPad you can hold the Internet in your hands. I would love to do that.
