Are Corns Contagious?

Jenn_Tigercat

Got Ghosts?
LOL the reason I ask is that I just picked up my third one. He is a Ghost Motley I think anyway. I had told myself that I wouldn't get any more corns until the reptile show in May but yeah saw this beauty and had to get :) I love the ghost morph :) I am not sure of the sex either.

OH wow, I think they call that pattern a cube. What a pretty little one, where did you get it and for how much? if I might ask? And the answer to your question is, they aren't contagious they are ADDICTING!!! As your starting to learn, my philosophy is it's a healthy addiction and easier to go along with than try to fight it lol ;) congrats in the new addition :D

LOL they are definitely addicting :) I got him/her from pet-smart and I paid 70.00 for. They had just gotten him/her in yesterday. I was wondering when I should try to feed it. They hadn't yet and the employee that I talked to said that they normally wait a week before feeding. So should I wait that long so that he/she has a chance to settle down and adjust before feeding.

Corns are not contagious....plantars warts, however, are contagious

Cornsnakes, on the other hand, are like potato chips.

I CAN eat just one potato chip! Haha I did just to prove it can be done :D
Such a cutie!
Oh yes, I have re re redeclared no more corns this year, but secretly keep thinking about how I can somehow squeeze more corns in my budget for the year, and I know there's gonna be lots of great hatchlings I want to have in the next couple months! It is a war I do every other day as I see new posts of them for sale!
There is no hope if you have 'the bug'!!! All you can do is every now and then get another and another till you have 2 dozen more than you originally thought you'd get hahahha

Well I definitely have the bug. I don't think my landlord would go for two dozen in my apartment. She knows about two of them :)

Wow that's a great price for a cube :D awesome find. I usually wait about 5 days for a corn to settle in before feeding. I can't wait till Wednesday when I get my new guys :D

Thanks :) I will give him till tuesday to settle in before I try to feed him.

Does any one know a good site that has all the different morphs for corn snakes?

iansvivarium.com (is down at the moment), is probably the best morph site along with cornsnakemorphgallery.com.

I am addicted to corns. I got my first in January. Since then I've added five more to my collection. I got my last one yesterday, and I will definately get at least one more at the reptile expo in Westchester in two weeks. Gotta catch'em all!

Ians vivarium is great but as martin said it's down currently for some reason. If you would like some hard copy (books) references with lots of pictures and information, I highly recommend the following

"Cornsnakes A Comprehensive Owners Guide" by Kathy & Billy Love
http://www.amazon.com/Corn-Snakes-C...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1270330339&sr=8-1

as well as "The Cornsnake Morph Guide" Charles Pretzle

REMEMBER,... it all started with one with me! lol! I have a separate room for the snakes and am impeccable with the cleanliness so the Mrs. is fine with it all.
BTW, I currently have 18 females that are gravid and should start laying in a couple days. :crazy02:

100% YES, very addictive! And we said the same thing..no more until the show in May and lets see..how many did we get since saying that??? Well, we went from 1-18 in 2 1/2 months that should tell you something! And we still have one more coming from Carol! Now let's hope we can wait this time!!!
