Thanks for the replies. I have a question are they to light to be Amels? I'm starting to think the mother is a creamsicle because her color is different then most Amels and the babies are very light.

When you took the pics, (BTW, clever of you to use the web cam) had the hatchling shed yet? I'm guessing not and that would explain the different color in the babies. Once they shed you'll have a much better idea what they are going to look like. Congrats!
Terri

They are beautiful! And so tiny too. I'm expecting mine to pip in the next week or two. Now I can see how tiny they are. Congratulations. (And good thnking to use your webcam.)

No they had not shed yet, I forgot about them shedding. Well I guess I'll see when they shed if they get brighter.

Well 5 of them have shed and you were right they look completely different. 4 look like normal baby Amels but one of them is different, instead of being orange and white it is like a peach color. I bet that will grow up to look like the mother. I'm going right now to go steal a camera and will post pics of the ones that have shed.

Congratulations on the babies - they're adorable. Thanks for the pictures, too. I like the pink tones on your snow.

Here are some pics after they have shed.

I like the oddly shaped saddle in the middle of the body. My female amel has a funny saddle in her middle, too. I can't wait until mine are old enough to breed. What are your plans for your babies?

I have a few with some funny saddles, almost like a little big of a zig zag. As far as my plans, I am keeping 2 and the rest I am trying to sell. Trying being the key word it isn't easy since they are Amels.

Oh I forgot all the babies have shed and pretty much all have had their first meal. Half of the clutch is a red and white while the other half is a bright orange it's really cool.
