Bad smell

ahh im not sure ive seen this in the uk, would any other good quality dish suffice? does this solve they issue or just temporarily make him clean?

Any regular soap will work, just make sure it doesn't have anything fancy in it... and isn't citrus scented.
I usually just use hand soap... I use fancy organic olive oil hand soap.
You could also use a bar soap- unscented is best.

nice one, thanks.. one more question. The same snake is VERY skittish. I picked him up the other day to place him in a container to clean his viv and he pooed all over the place, like liquidy minging poo. and now when ever i try to handle him he cocks back his tail and i can see the muscles near his cloaca tensing. Does this mean he is trying to wanr me off? ive noticed a slight tail rattle also.. I think hes just one moody, smelly snake

Cornsnakes rattle all the time. It doesn't mean they are angry, or mean. It just means hey, leave me alone or hey, I'm here or don't bother me when I'm eating/blue/sleeping.

Snakes don't have eyelids, so they don't close their eyes to sleep... but I've woken my snakes up before... or at least startled them in a way that I assume that I woke them up.

When sleeping, their irises drop a bit and they don't react immediately when something gets in their sight.

Does anybody know how snakes sleep? Because they seem conscious 24/7, like fish.

Fish do sleep as any diver will be able to tell you
They are easiest photagraphed then as they do not tend to swim ...
There are of course the sleep swimmers.... scubadivers have to be carefull not to wake these as their fins fall off
