Ok, folks, this is my fave snake, Rhett Butler. He's a wild-caught locality Okeetee, and I've posted this photo a few times. Sorry. But I have a challenge for you all:

Post pictures of your non-morph corns. Miamis, Okeetees, "look-a-tees", het for everything in the book "normals", the corn you found on your back porch, you name it. Mostly, let's see how different "normals" can be!

First is Durango. I've been told he's a Carolina corn. But I think he's prettier than Caramels and Ambers, IMHO.

The other is Hugo. He spent a few hours in a 10gal tank when I first brought him home, as a birthday present for my husband, while I was setting up his new digs. You can tell he's a simple natural looking corn.

I'll play along. I only have a few normals at the moment, so I'll post them all.

This has been posted before, and although it's not the best pic, it's the one where the colors are the most true.

Great thread Chip!
Here ya go......1st pic, WC female found in the backyard of my first house back in 1989.

Second pic, WC female found in the driveway of my second house Oct. 2004

How's that for being able to pick houses!
Both in Clearwater, Fl :flames:

Monty too!!!

I took some shots of him outside for a friend, cause she couldn't believe the last shots of him I took were for real. I told her they were under flourescent lights and kinda weird, so I took some natural light shots today. He's still beautiful!!!

This is a normal I used to own. I don't have any now, though I would kill to have Elrojo's!

Thanks for the compliments on my Miami's. I especially like the male. They are het striped or motley.

The last one is a normal possible het for several things, including motley, stripe, amel, anery, lavender, hypo, and aztec. I personally think she will end up being het motley or stripe. That's really the only thing that would explain her weird pattern. I really need to breed her to a motley next year to see what she produces! This year, I am breeding her to a hypo snow in hopes of proving if she's het amel, hypo, or anery. The snow is also possible het motley and stripe so I may learn something about those genes, as well.

Thanks for the reply, I've recently become a "miami junkie"( it's all Carol's fault) LOL. The reason I asked about the non motley, is because I have one too! Bought him as a motley at a show, got home and noticed he has a checkered ventral.

I would definitley say your little one was labelled incorrectly. He doesn't look like a motley to me. My girl only has a few checkers on her belly. She basically looks like a motley, but I think she is just a weird normal.

And I can understand why you blame Carol for your Miami habit! LOL
She has some awesome ones!

Here's the male I used to have... I might keep one of his offspring if the last clutch he fathered for me hatches ok
