Shizz

My recent addition and my only normal, Shizz. She has some Okee-esque features and they call pretty much anything an Okeetee over here, but I think I'd just call her a regular classic corn.

Oh yeah . . .

I already posted my pics of Monty but I forgot to add how much I am enjoying this thread with all these beautiful normals. I am really in awe of some of these snakes!

You've all see my locality Okeetee's but here they are again. I might add that they are in some superb company here! Fine looking normals posted by all!

this is the only one I have a pic of, and its an old pic at that. This is Jasper. He's my "lookeetee." My fiance Jonathan call him my dirt ugly okeetee but I think he's pretty! Never missed a meal in his life. He came out of a ghost and a candycane...not sure where the thick borders came from... :shrugs:

Great feeding shot! You ought to change his name to "DUO". HaHa, dirt ugly okeetee, now that's funny! Seriously, I don't think he's ugly.

Well, this is my ONLY normal, but I like her:

This is the crappiest, but most recent pic that I have of my normal (to show his colors). I'll take better ones when it's warmer outside (in the sun). The red is quite a bit deeper, and the background is a bit lighter, and his borders (if you can see them) are pretty thick. Anyway, he sure has changed since the fall...

Annabelle is my one and only corn and I love her to pieces! This is an older pic taken by the breeder; as soon as she sheds I plan on taking some good pics of my own. :)

Just an FYI, not that it really matters, but a hypo isn't a normal. When you list what you have, you can just say Hypo het lavender.

Just wanted to point that out. Nice hypo though, Don has some killer stuff.

Sorry about that. I'm still learning. I thought a hypo was usually a normal's coloring/pattern, just with less black. Is that right?

Eventually I'll get the hang of "corn genetics".. hopefully.

Heh, no reason to apologize. Hypomelanistic corns do look normal, and have a reduced amount of black. Technically it's not a 'normal' because it's homozygous for hypo.

I'm not saying the picture didn't belong, I was just trying to help you out because I noticed you had "Normal hypo het lavender" on your sig line.

If you have questions about genetics feel free to float over to the genetics board and ask them or PM me, I'd be more than happy to help you out with as much as I can.

this is my normal. he's gotten a little brighter since this pic (2 sheds ago), but you get the general idea....

Almost forgot this little girl. I just raised her up for a few months. Not the prettiest, but a hearty snake with a good temper.

Thanks for starting this thread. I have 3 'normals' - 1 male Okeetee (from Love bloodlines I am told), and 2 'locality' Miamis - 1 male CB from WC specimens, and 1 WC female. I'll post the males in this msg and the female Miami right below. If anybody (Chip?) can tell me a little more about the 'type' of Okeetee I have, I'd be interested to hear, since I'd like to have a female that looks a lot like him. I want to maintain the colors and borders without sacrificing the mostly non-aberrant markings.

(Male Okeetee and Male Miami)
