They are not all snows. Unless I am missing something somewhere. I still think they are opals and snows. I think Dad is an opal het anery and mom is a blizzard het anery and lavender. Sucks you have to do more testing breeding and ended up with more questions.

I'm gonna have to agree with you.....after seeing more pics..there is an obvious mix here. Also, comparing my hypo lav. Blood to these pics.....lavendar seems the likely culprit.

I'd have to agree. They look like snows and opals. But that is just my opinion, I could be incorrect though. Lavender does look like it has an influence there.

thanks for any help :)

So Dad is Opal het Anery, Mom is Blizzard het Anery, and babies are Opal and Snow?

When I bred the female Mom to my Normal male I got almost equal numbers of Normals, Snow, Anery, and Amel...some with the crazy patterns. Does that sound right for what you guys are saying?

Yeah sure does. I would breed her with a charcoal or a proven het charcoal with no anery to prove that she for sure is a blizzard het anery and not a snow.

ageed, also...if you bred the female. Blizzard to a normal male and got snows...you can assume the normal male is het anery..along with your female blizzard....assuming she's a blizzard...and not a snow. :)

Here are new pics of the babies. All have shed a couple times and all are eating great.
(I'm probably keeping #07 & #08) not 100% sure yet.

Here are new pics of the Mom (Blizzard?). She is pure white. No yellow. She does have a little pink on her head though. White belly too.

So I know most of these are snow babies. Are the rest Opal or just Amel? I have gotten both answers.

I still think you have opals and snows. I will be interested to see how your holdback "opal" progresses.

Thanks Christen. I also wonder if the holdback Snow will lose more color. :) Time will tell. Did I pick good keepers? I was just going to keep 2.
