This may not be the most accurate, but I'd guess girl. Lets see what everyone else thinks...

...like I said before, they all look like girls to me compared to those chubby rattlesnakes I'm used to...

Great!!

Thank you everyone! I cant wait until shes a little bit older so I can breed her but she is a little young right now. What would you say would be an ok time to start considering her age?

Really shouldn't breed them until they're 3 years of age.

Maybe someone could confirm the sex of mine. I think they are both females.

The first one I'd say is definitely a boy. The second one.....well, I will say poss. a girl, but that one I'd like to see more pics of before I'd say I was fairly confident on that.

Agreed. First one is definitely a male, second one sure looks like a female, but those pics are kinda small to really tell for sure, but if I had to guess I'd be pretty confident in saying female.

Ok cheers. I havent got any more of the underneath of the tail at the moment. Is it just those pics you need. Ive got some one of the topside of the tail

Those are large snakes! As far as breeding I've heard that they should be about 250-300g before breeding too.

Meg, you mean my snakes are large? If you do then Amber is quite small at just over 3 foot but Humbug is over 5foot and is rather big!!

My last post may also help with the sexing question. Both 2years old - Amel is about 3-3.5 foot and the anery is 5-5.5 foot

Yes, I meant the snakes were large. In the photos the tails look quite substantial next to your hand. 31/2 and 51/2 ft. are good sized snakes. My amel is 3 1/2 ft. too, but she won't be 2 until June.

Corny, I would say female, also. It is sometimes hard to tell when they are that young, however. If you don't get your little one probed soon, then please post some updated tail pics in a few months.

Vicki, I agree with gardenmum. I think the first one is male and the 2nd may be female. I also noticed that no one has mentioned to you that the second one is a bit fat. How much is she being fed? You may want to cut back a bit :)

Well her thickest diamiter is only about an inch and she has been off her food for 7weeks. Before that 1 medium mouse every 7 days. I have only had her since september though and that was her size when i got her. I am taking both snakes to the vet for a general check up tomorrow just to check they are healthy. Thanks for the comment though, i will have to ask the vet about it. Here is a picture of the whole snake to see if you still think the same.

The reason I said that she was fat is because of the bulges just above her vent. Try to exercise her a lot to see if it helps.
