i heard the best way to sex a snake is to probe, it is quite difficult to tell by looking at them physically

Well obviously the best way to tell is to probe, but you can tell by looking at them physically.
 
Probing is very effective...but can be wrong as well...especially if you are fairly inexperienced (you should not ATTEMPT it if you are completely inexperienced!!)...Popping is a decent method, because you visually evert the hemipenes in a male...however, this can cause severe damage as well if you are not experienced. And you CAN visually determine sex...although some examples may leave you guessing...


I agree with everyone else and say Corny has a female...although a side profile would be nice.

And Vicki appears to have a boy and a girl...with breeding hips =)
 
The Result

I went the vet with my snakes this morning for a check up and hw put me in contact with a reputable breeder that probes snakes today. I took them both up there as we went to get them out they were 'doing it'. I couldnt belive it!! She also said the female has eggs growing in her!!

So.... the first is male and the second female. I bought them as the opposite! Thanks for all your help and well done to those of you that guessed correctly!! :)

And yey for me, i guess the right sex "smiling".
Lets hope i gess the right sex on my own corns aswell :)
 
As well as guessing correctly, all of you who have replied have helped me see the difference in the tails myself. When i got home i lookd and it was quite obvious (even more so than in the pics). So thanks again for all youre help and teaching me something new. :wavey:
