breed question

I also put custum several times, but do not know why but this year the males are a little inattentive, I have some females that mated only once and males no longer try again

I put mine together two times but most of the time all it takes is once. The first time I bred Sunny I only put her with a male one time and ended up with a really good clutch and only lost two eggs. This year she only bred once and then when I put her in with Prince a week or so later she was no longer receptive and is currently in her pre lay shed. Marmalade however bred with Crackerjack twice and is gravid but has yet to show signs of her pre lay shed.

I only put mine together one or two times. Last year my female was only bred once, laid 11 eggs, lost one as a slug, one to a freak storm and 9 hatched. Pretty hopeful for this years breedings. One girl only bred once the other bred twice. The one that bred twice laid 10 eggs with one deffinitely looks to be a slug, the other is due to lay in the next few weeks.

ive got a female that only bred once, and the male no longer gets her interest. conclusion: its been 3 weeks since they were first together , and my question is can she get pregnant with just one mating?

Yeppers. My blood bred only once to my amel (working on fires) after that neither was really that interested. I can feel eggs in her now. She was bred 2/15/11 I expect eggs around the tenth of April. My girl from last year laid 10 eggs, 1 went bad, 1 died in a freak storm, the other 9 hatched.

We got hit with a microburst and it knocked over the shelf the incubator was on crushing one of the eggs. The other just molded and rotted so I assume it was never fertile or died in the growing stages.
