I have a new little serpent friend and my best human friend is new user ajmarsh89. His little pal made me want one so terribly so I had to go for it! I haven't decided on his name yet but I am waiting for him to give me a sign ;3

<3 Interested to explore the site, after being suggested it by AJ, and learn a little more about my lil baby!

Pictures will come just as soon as he gets over this extremely shy stage.

Interesting little quirk: the shop who sold me him says he is in a habit of only feeding if you put him in a paper bag with the prey.. she assumes he will grow out of it. Talk about shy!

Welcome to the forum! :wavey:

Yes, he should outgrow the paper bag. Congrats on your new little one!

Congrats on your little one! Yes, some baby corn snakes are slow to start feeding, then soon take off! Mine refused the first two attempts at feeding, then ate only in a paper bag the next 6 times! (Even I was surprised at this because I just now counted the times I used the 'paper bag trick' ... I put the snake in a small lunch bag with the pinkie and close the top tightly, put it back in the viv and leave it for 2 hours, then check) ... 6 times ... my oh my. Anyway, he finally did eat on his own outside of the bag in a shallow plastic container where he to this day eats all his meals. Have fun with your new friend and send us a pic!
