Oh yes Chip, he still loves the ladies! When he was younger I used to keep him in a 20 gallon tank. He never tried to escape...unless it was breeding season!! Then I would always find him in the closet of the herp room. He was quite easy to spot! Always just the same spot. It was almost like a game with us.
I was not as cavalier about escapes as I seem though. When he was little he was in a locked down cage, and has been on one now since 2005 or 2006. The only escapes he ever had was when he spent a few breeding seasons in the 20 gallon, but by then he was so big and so colorful he was really easy to find.
