Actually, my life is pretty boring...so I LOVE drama!
Be that as it may, I won't debate this issue.
I think CAV's initial post is pretty valid, but after that the thread got a bit intellectual and heated...and a little boring. (Yeah, OK, so I'm a bit simple-minded)....
Anyhoo....I love everyone here and won't take sides.

I wish we could all play nicely.....

My view is that life is too short to get all riled up about something we can't do anything about. I just waste my emotions, time and energy on things I CAN control. There's enough of that to keep me occupied! Simplistic, maybe...but my blood pressure is nice and low.

I will say that I appreciate all the men and women who put their lives on the line for our country. There are many who do that, not JUST those in the armed forces.

As for MikeL...I'm going to guess that you are one of the members here with the highest record of "reporting" other members on the entire forum, so I'm sure I'll be next on your list. I am so incredibly sad that you don't like me. I'll work hard to pick up the pieces of my shattered life and move on. God forbid that we should have any fun on a forum with so many people of common interests.

This WAS a fun debate, Wade. Glad you could make it.

Cav doesn't at this time "own" that forum. Crackerhead took over the payments when Rich was going to close it down a couple of months ago. ;)

I think the change you have witnessed was when things went from family friendly to not-so-family friendly. Couldn't give a actual date and time that switch occured, but there are already threads referring to the sexual and profane innuendo that is now allowed on a regular basis. (Everyone slips, but it's gone well past that.)

I would like to thank Tom e for serving this country, alot of you may not know that he served because he doesn't brag about it in every other post, neither does he use his service as a vehicle to defame others. Really his posts are from what I've seen always well thought out, respectful and appropriate. A real example of what a soldier should be.


That poll was ridiculous and it was posted on a public website that anyone, anywhere at anytime in the world could see and comment on it.

I guess it was OK for Cav to "delve back in time", diligently searching out my old posts so he could come up with his really, truly brilliant, Mensa-quality, (pathetic) "hook, line and sinker" plan/operation to trick me into responding, call me out and make me look "silly", I mean that was so OK with you Mike,that you didn't feel the need to bring that up? That total hogwash? Seriously?
But Lori can't comment on Cav's "Looky, Looky, Me, Myself and I" post from a few days ago, that he proudly displayed in his forum that all have access to?

Where is the list of icons and the rules that say when icons are being a jerk we should overlook it?

Tom e...I think I did remember that you were a soldier as well...I guess it slipped my mind because, as Kyle said, you don't cram it down our throats. Thank you, Tom. You're a class act and a true gentleman. Not only because you served your country, but because you continue to serve your fellow man with dignity. Plus you just ROCK!

But isn't that the same point that the ACLU is making? After all, they're trying to do something to 1) make life less short, and B) make it something we can do something about. :)

Yeah, I was like already over it when I read it, but I don't like people talking down upon people that I care about and I will say what I feel then. But honestly, none if this is worth it..
