I was cleaning a client's house today and I heard an "eek" sound from the basement. Then my client yelled for me to come downstairs. She hates any kind of bugs, spiders, anything....and I don't like them either so it was kind of funny. It was huge..I haven't seen anything like it before. I am assuming it is a Giant House Spider...but unsure. I brought it home with me because it was so interesting looking. The pic is with my cell so it is a bit blurry...and no it isn't alive! I had to spray it then cover it with the can because she was freaking. It barely fit under the can. So I offered to bring it home with me because she said if her grandkids saw it they wouldn't come back to her house again. It was a fast little bugger too.

I hate spiders! How do people like spiders??
But I guess thats what some spider lovers are saying about snakes... :)

Ewww those orb web spiders or whatever they are called give me the double creeps. :D

I do not like spiders at all, but I have made friends with a cross orb weaver that lives outside my front door. I like her, named her Henrietta, but that said I don't want her jumping on me any time soon! I just like to watch her make her web.

And if that first one is a wolf spider they get huge and can give a painful bite, we used to see em all the time at the bait shop we went to in Texas.

I have a picture of a weird spider I took somewhere lemme see if I can dig it up.

I love spiders... had a bunch of T's a few years back until my children and wife staged a revolt and convinced me to rehome them. :(

I would really love to have an orb weaver in the yard. Heck, I'd even buy crickets to feed it periodically! LOL.

I personally don't do bugs, spiders, or anything that walks with more than 4 legs. The spider I put a pic up of, stayed about a week, then disappeared. My husband told me that they die after they mate, so I'm guessing that was a male and he made whoopie, then died?? His web is still there, but he's been gone for a week now.

The "scariest" spiders I've ever had to deal with are the "Cane Spiders" in Hawaii. IF there were ever a psychotic spider, it would be those guys. Mean as all get up AND have been known to run AT you.

Isn't that to get into your shadow?

???? LOL. IDK... Never heard of that before. All I know is that while I "love" spiders, if one is running AT me, I'm not sticking around to see if it just wants to rest in my shadow. :)

I've met people who have been bitten by them. No "lasting" effects except for the extreme HATE for them afterwards. LOL.
