They can go in the Uhaul with me, or they can go with the moving company with strangers and furniture. I dont know if youve ever seen the small Uhauls, but there sliding doors opens, where you can go/check on whats in the truck. Everyone will be closely monitored that way.

As far as smells of other pets go....my snakes live in the same house/rooms with my dogs and cats so how does that make sense.

Wow, now I once again feel like an idiot. I was thinking of one of the U-Haul trailers, not trucks. My corns live in the same house as my pets, but I sware, if I pet my cat and pick up my corn he gets pissed as anything.

God, I would never trust a mover with any of my pets. They would be dead before they got out the door.

Sad when you need a Uhaul for your pets right? And just your pets LOL Thats all Im going down with. Anything else Ill leave for the company. I need one of those van sized trucks cause the 2 crates are large.....their big enough to fit Labs.

I dont even trust flying anyone down....

I'm jealous. I could probably put all my pets in my lap whe I go somewhere. :)
 
I took my snakes all the way from California to S. Carolina. All except the green tree pythons that is. Had them shipped later. I had no problems bringing them. I carried the few health permits for the snakes I could get paperwork from the vet on, health records on the dogs and cats and drove the u-haul big rig across the country. Everyone rode either in my cab or in the cab of my husband's truck. We didn't stop at any truck inspection spots and no one stopped us. We brought the snakes into the hotel at night and gave them water, the rest of the time, they rode under the seats of the trucks with a lot of moving blankets to pad them in their tubs. S. Carolina has no restrictions on keeping or selling any species of snake, venomous or non-venomous. You only have restrictions on protected species such as Indigos. Those need permits. I can go to the show in Columbia and buy any type of snake that I want. That includes any number of exotic venomous species as well. No questions asked! One of the reasons we moved here instead of Georgia where my mom, dad and sister live or Arkasas which also is very restricted on snakes.
