Creative people, perhaps you have some ideas?

I don't know if I'm allowed to post stuff like this on here...if I'm out-of-line, please excuse me.

Ok, I'm the PR coordinator for an LGBT organization on MSU's campus. We have message boards up around the residence hall complex we represent, and a new rule for this complex is that the boards must be re-decorated with a new scene displayed every two weeks.

I'm almost positive we have some other LGBT people on this forum, I know I can't be the only person. So, I thought I'd ask you guys. Also, even if against all odds I am the only LGBT person on the forum, I've seen some of the enclosures people on here have designed, so I know there are creative people on here.

Mainly what I'm looking for are ideas that are cheap, because I have five boards to decorate and it takes 4 weeks for me to be reimbursed. Any ideas for scenes that I can incorporate rainbows into without looking strange would be great.

Also: I understand that not everyone is comfortable with this type of organization. If you are one of those people, I completely respect your opinion, but I ask that you not be rude. I get enough hate-email as it is, lol.

oh how cool!

I have some ideas mulling around, I'll see if I can come up with some roughs and send them to you later? wanna PM me your email addy?

I'm not a member of any of those groups, but my brother is and I have lots of friends that are!

I am not on that particular "team" if you will, and I don't have a creative bone in my body either. BUT, several of the nicest and most creative people on this forum are!! I won't out anyone, but I am sure that they will step forward. Good Luck!! :)

I'm drawing a blank except for a rainbow made of cornsnakes...I have a one-track mind!!

There's a social group here you might be interested in, too. You get there by going through quick links!

Social group...I'll check that out. Thanks everyone for at least brainstorming for me :)

The displays can be anything, I plan on just putting the info up and making the background decorative.

I helped to organize a gay/straight alliance at my high school. A lot of us in the GSA were also art students so we made displays for the front foyer. My art teacher made one with the names of famous, accomplished LGBT people throughout history on different pieces of paper.

Rainbows of little paper hearts and paper people would be easy enough to make. You could work with them in different ways. I would layer a bunch of them so that they overlap and make continuous rainbows.
