Day 63 (nothing)

If it's any comfort, the first year is the worst...After that you know they will hatch when they are good and ready!

Finally.! :dancer:

Congrats! They are so adorable! Mine still have not hatched, Two of them have some mold on the end of them with white speckles/fuzzy stuff on them, although when I candled them they still looked viable, but not really sure. I posted updated pics of the eggs last night on my post, and candled two of them to show the veins inside. Good luck with yr second clutch.

I'm sitting at day 62 on my first clutch of eggs (kept them at around 80-81deg.). The wait is killing me. I've candled them, and can see a little movement from the babies inside so I feel good. No dimpling but a few star patterns.

My question is, about how much of the egg does a baby snake take up right before they hatch? My eggs seem to be about 1/2 snake, and 1/2 fluid when I candle.

I just found an older post that showed almost ready to hatch babies, only taking up what looked like about half of the egg. I guess that answers my question. I would have thought they would have filled up the whole egg. See...the anticipation is making me crazy.
