If it is on Sat., I would like it if it could be as early as possible, maybe around 5:30. There are a number of expo related events going on Sat. night, but they usually start around 7 or later. That way we could do both the corn dinner and whatever else we may want to do in connection with the expo. Also, Sat. tends to be busy at restaurants, so if we are there early it may be a little quieter and less crowded.

If Don S. has his new book out by then, maybe he could bring a bunch to the dinner and sign them for anyone who wants one? It would make it kind of a special highlight of the event, since he usually attends but does not vend there (so far, anyway).

What does everyone else think?

Ohoho I want one!!!!!!! But im all the way over in texas.........When are you expecting Dons book bieng finished?Sorry for bieng so nosey!

I've done in in years past when I used to live in Oklahoma. Just used to Delta the stuff to me in one big box....but you need to be Delta certified to do that. Stop by my table and we'll talk...may be able to help you. I'd give you the table number but don't have my packet.

By the way, anyone else vending at Daytona received their packets yet? Seems like it is getting close and I need to apply for the FL permits.

The one in Anaheim (L.A., Cal area)in Sept. is pretty big, and very nice. We will be there! But it is not nearly as big as Daytona. It is not really close to you, but we will be driving from Mesa to Cal ourselves after visiting my brother in Az, so I think it is a 8-9 hour drive or so. Long, but doable.

I have not received anything in the mail about Daytona, except a postcard telling everyone to sign up for advertising if they want to.

i just found out i cant go
30 minutes away and you can't go? It is open on both Sat and Sun from 10-5. I'm sure that you can find a few hours somewhere in there to make it!

Of course you're going! We're probably neighbors. I live about a half hour from Daytona, too!

As to the checking on buffets, that was me. The place that used to be Ryans says that they can accomodate large parties, 'generally.' They do not have the steaks in addition to the buffet like Ryans but sometimes there is stake on the buffet. I am also checking on a few other nearby buffets. 5:00 PM on Saturday is not really early around here, but we'll work it out.

Once we decide for sure the day and time, I will try to pin them down on maybe some sort of reservation. They were not willing to commit very much without some sort of estimation on how many there will be.
