DENVER BRONCOS!!!!!

okay i know everyone agrees with me on this one that the Denver Broncos are the best team in the NFL. No jk... but if you are a Bronco fan like myself you can go to www.broncoscountry.com and the site is just like this but with bronco foot ball.

p.s. Broncos are the best

Okay, I'll agree with you... partially. I have two teams... one per conference. Denver is my favorite in the American Football Conference. Dallas is my favorite in the National Football Conference.

My whole family is from Texas, so we're naturally Dallas fans. But back in the 70's when old Dallas players used to migrate to Denver (Craig Morton, Tony Dorsett especially), I would follow them there and, quite naturally, Denver became a favorite. THEN, arguably the GREATEST QB of all time came along in John Elway and cemented them as my co-favorite team. My wife and I still wear "orange crush" Denver T-shirts in honor to him. You should have seen the look of surprise when I cheered for Denver in the 1978 Superbowl. Denver lost 27-10, but still, my family has been reeling ever since! LOL.

With Dallas as my favorite team, I also followed many of my favorite players to the Broncos.

Then when Jason Elam went to the Broncos, that also increased my interest in them. Jason is my cousin.

Well tell him HELLO! He was ALSO one of my favorite players on the Broncos... I graduated from HS in Hawaii (Leilehua High School Class of '86) and went back in '95. I knew that Jason played for the University of Hawaii and got drafted by the Broncos in '93... so I always rooted for him. Man, he's a co-record holder for longest FG, right? Always a place in my heart for him! Too bad he had to go to the Falcons (for Denver at least).

Good to know you!!!

With all do respect, the Broncos are not the best team in the NFL. They are defenitely one of the better teams in the AFC, though. I mean, I know they are very good, and I completely respect your opinion about them, because they are exceptional. I just need to see more wins, and that game against Kansas City really made me question how good they are. Yes, Jay Cutler has played well this season, but if it weren't for a blown call they would be behind San Diego in the AFC West. I've heard people say Cutler is a better "pure" Quarter-Back than Tom Brady, which is absolute non-sense. My problem with Cutler, is everytime a reciever misses a catch his face get's really violent, and angry, and I expect that to create problems later on when they play some of the better teams. Also, he's become too reliable on his favorite recievers, Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall, which won't go over very well when he's playing teams who can play tight coverage. My pick for best team in the AFC right now would have to be Tennessee, due to their exraordinarily under-rated defense. They could probably beat Denver in my opinion, because of their pass rush, and their good DB's.
As far as the Cowboy's go, yeah their very good, but I just don't trust them in the playoffs. I like Romo, and Barber, and T.O., but I do not love their defense. That game against Philadelphia was atrocious. I know this may sound stupid, and I will more than admit it's not a flashy pick, but I think Carolina could be the top team in the NFC. Maybe not record-wise, but I think they have a good shot at the super bowl. Their defense is great, and I love their run game. Also, Steve Smith will come on strong later in the season, and will be a huge problem for Dallas if they meet in the playoffs. Again just my opinion, and I don't want to insult anybody with it. I just thought I would put in my two cents. Good luck to your Broncos, Derek, and to your Cowboys, Thunderer and Rich. Both of your teams are great, and I could be very wrong about my picks. Thanks!.

dude that is awesome that jason elam is your cousin! One of my second favorite teams is the Bengals but they are crap this year 0-4 is really bad. Might as well start calling them the 07-08 dolphins.

1st off I'm a Ravens fan, but let's break this down unobjectively.

The Chargers lost two very close games, a last play TD against Carolina, and a blown call against Denver. I know Broncos fans think differently, but it was a blown call. Phillip Rivers has come on strong, and with LT I think they can outscore Denver all day. Also, the Broncos defense is suspect, to say the least. Even without Shawn Merriman, the Chargers have a much stronger pass rush. Antonio Cromartie is the new Champ Bailey, and they also have a much better run defense. The broncos let Larry Johnson have his way with their D, and in the playoffs that will get them knocked off quick. Denver is'nt even the best team in their division, let alone in the NFL.
I will give them much credit, they have improved drastically this year. They might have the best passing game in the league, But they have no defense. And without a good run game or defense, they will get crushed in the playoffs. Especially if they have to play a game in the snow, against the Bills, or jets. who have great rushing offenses and defenses, and a QB's who won't lose the game for them.
Overall I like the Chargers or Jets out of the AFC, and the Giants look like they can repeat in the NFC. Let's not forget Dallas has looked great in the regular season for a while now, and they have yet to win a game in the playoffs. I think the Cowboys can pull it together and win it all, but their fruitful stats have yet to propel them further into the post season.
I love how this season is playing out though, last year all that was said was how great the AFC is, and how no NFC team can compare. But this year is completely different, I think any team in the NFC east can make a good run, and Carolina has some potential as well. As far as the AFC, it will come down to who can tighten their run games, and defenses. I think NYJ, DEN, SD, TEN, and BUF can all contend for the conference championship. But the only teams with a run game and defense good enough to win, is Buf and Ten, And I have doubts about both of their passing games.
So, here we go with my predictions. Unbiasley, I like the Chargers vs Giants in the super bowl. I think they are two teams that will bring the heat later in the season, and they both have great players from every aspect of the game.
But good luck to your teams, and they both can easily win every game. The Cowboys just have to prove they can win in the playoffs. And the Broncos need to establish a better defense, and rushing game. But both teams have by far the best Passing offenses in the NFL (without Brady), and I will be excited to see what happens!!!

Well said, Ricky... I completely understand your opinion. This season, I have been VERY concerned with both the defenses of the Broncos and the Cowboys. They do sure score a ton of points, but BOTH teams don't seem to be stopping the other team from scoring either.

While I love Denver, they could easily be 0-4. Dallas could be 2-2.

I think you mean 1-3. That game vs the raiders was not close at all.
They should have lost to both the saints and the chargers.
I predicted a 6-10 record this year.
hopefully i am wrong, but that defensive line scares me (too bad it dont scare the opposition's QB)

and no ROCKtober this year? (although that was very flukish last year)
hopefully the AVS pull thru!

You're right. I forgot about the Raider slaughter... and a GREAT day it was too! 41-14... I stand corrected. 1-3. LOL.

I'm a Seattle Seahawks fan. This hasn't been a fun season.

Ah, the history... You do indeed have it even worse than I perhaps. I'll never forget that Ernest Byner fumble, I remember exactly where I was and who all I was watching the game with. Now that is pain for a sport's fan.

I think what hurt the most about "the fumble" was that it happened a year after "the drive".

While I completely feel bad for Cleveland fans... as a Bronco fan (because of Elway), I was ecstatic.

I clearly remember both of those games... Football at its best (for Denver fans) and its worst (for Cleveland fans).

Of course, today, the Broncos lose a game that they were "supposed" to win... 31-10...

I also got to watch (at the stadium) the Cards lose to the Giants...
