DENVER BRONCOS!!!!!

i feel for those from ohio
the browns and the bengals have been pretty lousy for a long time now
only the lions are trying to make them look good

I think what hurt the most about "the fumble" was that it happened a year after "the drive".

While I completely feel bad for Cleveland fans... as a Bronco fan (because of Elway), I was ecstatic.

I clearly remember both of those games... Football at its best (for Denver fans) and its worst (for Cleveland fans).

Of course, today, the Broncos lose a game that they were "supposed" to win... 31-10...

I also got to watch (at the stadium) the Cards lose to the Giants...

One of our dancer instructors wasn't going to be at a juniors group lesson yesterday due to the Rams game... it was so bad that he left the game and came and taught his class after all.... that's bad.

The New York Yankees, The Boston Celtics, The Montreal Canadiens, and....

....well, when YOUR team surpasses the record for the number of league championships, yada, yada, yada.......

:flames:

(That said, I've lived through the Lombardi era to the Forrest Gregg era, and back again.....I feel your pain.)

I lived most of my life in Cleveland and grew up hating the Broncos!
Ernest Byner lived in our development and after "the fumble" all the neighborhood kids made big signs for his yard that said "We still love you Ernie". He was a great guy - used to come to all our block parties with his huge stereo and dance with all the kids - but will unfortunately always be remembered for that play.

That's great!!! You do know that he eventually DID get a superbowl ring... with the Redskins, I believe. For that reason only... AND as a Bronco fan, I'm happy for him.

Byner was such a good player. If I remember correctly, he even had a great game that day... until that 3 yard line fumble. I've seldom felt worse for a player.

You're right!!! Even Marty Schottenheimer said that without Byner, the Browns wouldn't have been in position to win. The coach also proceeded to say that it wasn't only Byner's fault. One of the other Cleveland players was supposed to block the Bronco player who caused the fumble (Bronco player was Castille)... but stood aside to watch Byner make the TD.
