This is a question I've wanted to ask before, actually.
I bought Orion, my black Lampropeltis, as an adult animal labelled as a Mexican Black King.
However, he is longer than I am tall - about 6 feet in total length. He has white flecking on some of his belly scales.
Is there a way to tell the difference between a Black Milk and an MBK by scale counts or something, to find out whether we've got a BIG MBK ... or a mislabelled Black Milk?
