They may not have any known hets, but ill bet they have at least one UNknown het; anery. Sure, i could be wrong. It happens all the time. But i think im right. Youll have to keep us updated so i know whether or not to gloat or be shamed forever!

If that is an anery, it is the reddest one I have ever seen. Eye color tends to match ground color, that is all that is going on there. COuld it be any anery? I guess, but any anerys I have hatched have never had any red.

The red animal is a sibling to the anery in question. Everything you know about anerys is still true- no red.

In the feeding shot, i can see a little in between stretched scales, but i see zero red. Maybe its your monitor? Im viewing these photos on 28 inches of HDtv. I suppose it could just be my tv, but i doubt it.

The dark one has *brown* on my monitor... perfectly normal for an anery. And eye color does not always match ground color: Miamis.

I dont know about any other hets on the parents
but who will know what there was on the line before?!
But after shiari mentioned the eye color i checked same
on the otheroners n they all got these brownish normal
eyes so even the eye color is different!

Think we will see how he turns out after a few more sheds!

LIke I said, I guess it could be anery, but it looks normal to me. :D That's why the ACR is nice, if he was registered you could look up his folks and his folks' folks!

LOL. :D

I'm a painter, I'm pretty picky about what I call brown. Brownish red is what I see I guess. IT's not red like a RED but looks more red than brown... make sense? It's probably my monitor! If it doesn't even vaguely look red to you guys maybe it's an anery.

All that said, I believe in Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation is USUALLY (not always) the right one. Neither parent is known to carry anery, so Occam's Razor would say they aren't anery. Is Occam wrong sometimes? SUre! Breeding trials are in order, or at least let the snake grow up and shed a few times if it were mine. :D

Maybe the breeder of the parents know anything bout the breedin line?!
Whatever i will keep you updated bout his progression!

Well, breeding trials are when you discover your animals have hets you didn't know about/expect!

My immediate thought was Anery as well. Of coruse after Dave mentioned seeing red I took another look and the saddles started playing tricks on me! I definitely agree that it will be interesting to see what this animal looks like after a few good sheds.

My vote is on Anery though! Sorry Dave!! :p
