The ad on this site....for "turtlesale" or whomever....

They are breeding and selling deformed turtles with no eyes?! That's a bit unethical in my opinion.... :shrugs:

if you do a google search for turtlesale.com you will see that they aren't the best company...they are known for sending a baby RES with almost every order placed even if you just order supplies. Buyer beware..and always do your research before purchasing from any online dealer.

Yes, I thought it weird...

I emailed a link to it yesterday to a serious turtle keeping friend. I am sure he found it "interesting".

i was concerned about them selling turtles less then three inches long. i thought there was a law about that? but i see penny sized musk or asian turtles for sale.

i'm also suprised they havent culled/retiered the beeders of the eyeless turtles, yeah one is no big deal, but when you get whole clutches you need to retire the parents.

Yup, its just a google ad. I looked into it, "Free RES with every order over 100.00, Automatically sent with any order"

Horrible.

haha
almost makes me wanna place an order
then call the state DFW when i receive it
RES are not legal in OR

Do it! Do it! Do it!

(All chanting aside, they sound like they don't need to sell animals)

What kind of person do you have to be to wake up one day, get online, and then say to yourself, "Hey! I want an eyeless turtle! My ideal pet, it will fill a void I've had for years!"

:bang:

12 yr old boy with a morbid streak?

Look at their company policies:

The site says their turtles are salmonella free but then they make you "sign" a page saying thatyou agree the turtle mght have or might pick up salmonella. Also that you are not obtaining it for a pet--only for scientific or educational purposes but then they tell you "happy turtling" & tell you buy this species of turtle; it will surely get noticed...

AND they did this breeding ON PURPOSE!!! (Stevie the wonder turtle does it again)YIKES!

What a slimey place of business!!!
