Don't Punch Mirrors...Warning gory

Anger can sometimes get the best of us all. Alcohol added to the fire surely helped a bit as well. When I get that angry I take a long walk and remove my self from the situation. Sometimes, I'll say something like, " I really can't continue this discussion right now. I have to take a break, but we can continue if you would like after I get back." This gives me time to get a few deep breaths in and the walking allows my rational rather than my emotional side to take back over. Nature walks seem to help much more than walking on sidewalks or near a road though as you sometimes get rude people that don't think you should be allowed to walk in the grass near a road and that can set some people like me back off especially when your walking 7-10 ft off the roadway in the grass and people want to flip you off for walking along the road. Yeah, thats actually happened to me as well. My wife and I adopted a local road so we have no choice but to walk along side of it to clean it. Oh, don't get me started... Lol, ruminating over something also seems to be a good way to keep the anger going. So, trying to distract yourself with something else if all else fails... I.e. you've already shouted at the trees and removed yourself from the situation. The key is to always remove yourself from the situation as quickly as possible once you realize you are about to do something stupid, preferably a bit before that if at all possible. Long rant I know.

Suffice it to say, I've got a temper bad enough that my pulse will go from 67 to 137 in under a minute and my blood pressure will go from 130/70 to 160-170/90 just as fast. So, I know that and I try my best to keep it under control by doing the above and it seems to work for me. Soothing music, pets, nature, etc. are all tricks I've learned to use over the years to help combat anger.

Nope. Mirrors shard in large shards due to the backing.
Only punch tempered glass. :)

That's gonna be a cool scar though.

I learned my lesson putting my fist through a hollow core door in my teens. Chewed up knuckles, a few splinters, and a lightened wallet did the trick...

Once the scar heals, you need a corn snake tattoo along the length of it.
