Early introductions

Polly's last 3 are lively enough, all poking their noses out, so that means I feel I can tally up my totals as follows;
Pearl, 6/9 hatched.
Kate, 21/21 hatched.
Annie, 16/16 hatched.
Sundance, 18/18 hatched.
Polly, 14/17 hatched, 3 pipping
78 babies!

Here's some little tummies filled tonight!

Hey Janine I have 6 eggs at 53 days now. I just asked on another thread for someone to post photos of hatchling setups & I remembered you had yours here!!! DUH!!! What size are your tubs? And do you glue or staple the cups in? Thanks BabyGirl!!! They look nice!
Awesome baby!!! Congrats! :D

I can't find a ruler! So I'll guesstimate the size as 7"x4"x2". They are sold as food storage/microwave containers. And the cups are tall enough that they can't be tipped over with a lip cut in. I don't glue them in because I throw them away if they get excessively soiled, washing out tiny cups is too much like a chore!

Kate's clutch have shed, and I'm hoping they'll all eat today. Here are the ones who obliged straight away with their fat little tummies:)

Thanks girl! I bought sandwich size containers & was planning on gluing in medicine cups & putting an egg carton (the part that holds the eggs) as a hide. So I am still messing around. I think I do wanna go bigger I see your guys have stretching out room. I like that! Do you just cut the cups w/ a pair of scissors?

I only keep them in these little tubs until they've had their 3 feeds and sell on. So I have tried sections of tp roll as little hides, but they seem to like hiding under the paper towel best. The cups are just cut down with scissors. It's a simple set-up to start hatchlings off in.

@ CALIVIK I to have been reading little cups for watering dishes and found that a soldering iron works like a cutting torch through them and makes a very nice softened edge. Also love the soldering iron for putting the air holes in the containers, quick, simple and makes a softened edge. No chance the snakes will harm their noses if they start rubbing them on the holes.

Here's my favourites out of Pearl's clutch, granites after the first shed (and they ate first go too)
