Empty 55 gallon

I have decided on putting poison dart frogs in the tank and planting various plants inside. Going for a very tropical sort of look. I will be getting dendrobates leucomelas. Thanks all for the suggestions!

Cool, I would highly recommend using these instructions for making your vivarium. I've used it for three separate vivs I currently have going and it works great. It's a bit of work getting all the materials and putting them together, but then the end result is a a virtually maintenance free viv, other than adding water and cleaning the glass occasionally and it holds humidity very well. I have a nice colony of springtails thriving and they take care of all the geckos waste, should work for frogs as well...

I use the LECA balls, Josh's frogs sells them if you can't find them in your area.
Along with P-Darts and I think he even has springtail colonies to buy as well. A respected dealer.

lol keep trying, its really fun getting a new viv ready. I went out a bought alot of the supplies and also ordered some things from Josh's frogs and I cant wait to get started on everything.

I went & looked at the how to set up the environment stuff. Makes me want to try my hand at frogs or anoles that could live in that kind of set up! Around 6th grade I did a bunch of gardens in bottles (they were popular in the 70s LOL) and really enjoyed the miniature landscaping & trying to make something that was stable & would not rot, fog over, dry up or otherwise not thrive. Add critters & it seems almost irresistable!
