Erm, Should I expect the pitter patter of hundreds of tiny feet?

I'm Me, Deal With It
This is Artemis, the (possibly) gravid Emperor Scorpion. What do you guys think? I purchased her in mid January and was told she was pregnant, but I have never owned an E. Scorpion before. I think she is, but would love your opinions!

Does "you are insane!!!" count as an opinion??? :)

Well- she looks fat. I wonder how many she will have. What they eat. What you will do with them all.

yeah wow!
she's looks huge! do you know what they eat?

this is too cool! deff keep updating please!!

Well for the first week or so they ride around on mom, and she breaks off pieces of her food and hands it to them lol. She hasnt eaten in a week or two, but I associate that with me giving her a pinkie and the fact she is gravid. I plan on selling the babies, so we will see ^_^

I know almost nothing about scorpions, but she certainly looks very rotund!

Do you get to handle her? Do scorpions have different personalities?

I havent handled her yet; the females become aggressive when gravid. I so much as think of opening her door and she gets into a defensive stance lol. From what I have been reading, I can expect anywhere from 1-35 little scorpion babes o_o

K that just freaks me out!! lol Good luck though with new babies, she does look fat, but I know nothing about scorpions :)

Oh, that is so cool! I don't like scorpions but it would be so neat to see the her caring for the babies like that.

none yet, still staring her down everyday... problem is, I have no idea how far along she is, since the pet store said she mated before they got her, they just started noticing the signs

Hmmmm.. do you know how long the gestation period is..?

that way you have a "rough esstiment"?
I'm sure you have already done tons of research on all of this, I'm just interested. :)

This is really neat!
I can't wait to see the Baby/babies! :D

Aww, she does look like she's going to pop. lol Send me a baby! My question is... where do they come out of? I mean.... where is a scorpions boom boom place?

From what I have seen anywhere from 7-11ish months O_O
Here are some more pics I took of her tonight, I was trying to get an underbelly shot through the viv but it didnt work out too well :/

Certainly looks gravid, pity the gestation period can be over 9 months for them. You might still have a long wait ahead. As mentioned they will live on the mother for a few days, once they start moving off remove them from the tank as she might eat them, if any are ill/ sickly or under developed the mother could potentially eat that individual as well.

Good luck!!
