I've went to a few shows already and talked to the breeders about their stock, what animals really stand out, and what they are expecting to have at the next show. By the third show I knew who to look for and some even remembered talking to me at the previous show. When I came across something I really wanted, but thought the price was kind of high, one guy told me to make an offer which he accepted. I think if you know what your talking about, and show real interest, that automatically sets you apart from the herd of Lookie-Lues. You can make an offer, just don't be insulting, and you never know what kind of deal you'll get. Don't forget, Daytona is right around the corner and you can bet almost all of them will be there, so if your going too, use it as a chance to make a practice run. Talk to the vendors, take one of their business cards if they have them, (bring paper in case they don't), write down the prices, and you'll have more time to save the money you'll need for quality at Daytona...
