Feeder sizes for rats and mice?

Allalaskan

The Crazy Alaskan
Ok, so I have 2 bps and a corn snake and I need to order some mice and rats here soon and I need to find out about rat sizes. Atm both of my bps and my corn snake are eating adult mouse sized food items. I was breeding rats and attempted mice but after some issues I quit. I still have 5 rats but my question is, what size of rat pup is the same exact size as an adult mouse? I need to find out so I can order more and then some of the next size up from that too. How ever i am unfamiliar with what names for sizes match what size rat (if that makes any sense).

I know what a pinky size is, but from there im not sure what sizes (names) are how big they are.

I know I worded this badly, I hope some one understands what I mean lol.

Any way im hoping to order more in a couple of weeks with joint order with another member up here.

Recap, what size rats are equal to an adult mouse and what is the next size up from that.

Thanks for any and all information.

Thats a pretty good chart.

In my experience a weanling rat is approx the roundness of an adult mouse. They do tend to be a touch longer and weigh a little more. So a small rat would be the next size up.

I made my own chart with size comparisons, based on the weight ranges from one of the rodent suppliers.
In general:

My chart did show up like I typed it, so I'll redo it.

mouse peach/fuzzy = rat pink
mouse hopper/weanling = rat fuzzy
mouse adult = rat pups
mouse xl adult = rat weanling

mouse peach/fuzzy = rat pink
mouse hopper/weanling = rat fuzzy
mouse adult = rat pups
mouse xl adult = rat weanling

This is a really perfect way to gauge from one to the other!! It all depends on what supplier you go with... some list weight, some list just a name but the list above kinda does both for you :) If they are eating a young adult, I would get both fuzzy and pups (rats) but if you are to buy only one?? buy the rat pups and then just feed the smaller ones in the bag first. They (suppliers) usually have a nice range in the bag to choose from, not all in the bag will be exactly the same size. :) Hope we were able to help you some? :)
