Feeding advice

Corn snakes are like labradors; they will eat until they explode. Usually one mouse of the appropriate size is enough. My females that are getting ready to be bred, or are recovering from laying, get two or 3 mice, depending on how large they are.

Good to know!! So I will just feed him the two pinkies then I'll get a hopper and see how he does. I trust you guys!

So here is a few images of him eating pinkies. To me I can't imagine him eating bigger!! You guys promise he can?! Hahaha. I hope I'm not the only fearful one out there.

That looks like a peach fuzzy, rather than a pinky. Do him a couple feeds on actual fuzzies, and he should be ready to go on up to hopper.

Reference point, here is Timmy eating a large fuzzy at about 80 grams. I took the picture because he liked to hang on the rim of his feeding tub and eat upside down. Lol

When bumping up a size, I think all of us newer snake keepers sweat a little. It's scary to watch the first time. Okay, okay, it's scary the first several times! I've been doing this with four snakes for a year now, and I'm only just now starting to be able to bump sizes without totally freaking out. Don't worry. You're normal! ;)

So it's been two days since feeding Samson his mice. I fed him a small pinky on Friday and then Monday night we fed him the other two. I know that was probably a bit too much but that won't happen again. I felt bad since I figured he was starving. I cannot believe how much he has perked up! He was actually looking out of his hideout. I'm lettin him hang out while I watch tv and he is more active and I swear he looks thicker all over, which is probably me being crazy. Also he decided it was the most perfect time to poop on me ;) so thank you for all the advice. I'll feed him a fuzzy on Monday and maybe a few more after then we will go to hoppers.

Can you tell us about how long Samson is? I have a Corn about 26 inches long, he's about 9 months old, and he eats Hoppers. He gets one hopper every Sunday morning. Your snake seems to be about the same size as mine, but it's hard to tell in your pictures.
