where do you get your mice?

I haven't bought any mice online yet, but I asked the question about which was the "best" source (in another thread). Several stated that they preferred The Mouse Factory, saying they have the cleanest mice, and that they come vacuum packed. They are more expensive than Rodent Pro. Some people had issues with Rodent Pro mice. Like I said, I haven't purchased from any of these and so don't have first hand knowledge.

I understand the shipping charges are pretty high, though, so I'm not sure just how much cheaper it is than Arctic Mice when you consider all the costs. I'd be interested in hearing what others have to say.

Actually in thinking about it, I've bought online 3 times, twice from Rodent Pro.
I like Rodent Pro the best of the two I've tried. Their prices are good and I love their checkout system. When I was doing the first online order, everyone else you had to contact to get a quote. The only one to write me back within a few days was South Florida Rodents. (I think that was the name) Theirs were vacuum packed but I actually thought that was worse because it's no longer vacuum sealed once you open it the first time and the vacuum bags don't re-close like the ones Rodent Pro uses.

The mice from both places were slightly better than the ones from Petco I'd been getting, which weren't bad.
For just one snake, it isn't worth it to buy online but if you have about 3 or more it really does save a lot of money over from buying from most pet stores.
When I was still buying from Petco I was getting 3 pinks for $4.75 or so and 3 fuzzy mice for $5.40 or so. And that was actually less expensive than it would have been to buy live.
My first Rodent Pro order I'd gotten in on a good sale, so with shipping it was $80 for 100 fuzzy and 50 hoppers, I think.

The Mouse Factory has the BEST mice, and the small sizes are as cheap for me to ship as to buy from Gourmet Rodent.

Gourmet Rodent is local, and convenient to go pick up. Their mice are decent.

In an emergency I can get Mice Direct mice at a show in Orlando or Tampa. They seem to be the lowest quality of the three, and I had a very bad experience getting them shipped once, which I was lured into by very low prices.

lol, how do I order these magical mice? ;)

I chose online, although I'm actually able to pick up at the facility. I order from the Big Cheese Rodent Factory.

You can't order them... But you can shoot them! That why the reptile store where i go sells crossbows. They won't admit that they are for hunting magical mice but they are!

I get my mice and rats from someone who breeds them locally. I go pick out what I want and euthanize them there.

I voted for online, although I'm new to the snake community and having snakes from what I've read online seems to be the best prices and best quality mice so I'm going to start ordering online next week.

I get mine from a local breeder. Although I had someone at work offer me to rats he killed in his barn. I politely said he was insane if he thought I was going to feed parasite infested rats to my snakes. He still didn't understand why I didn't want the rats.

by looking at my results, I see the majority get online mice. I now order from rodent pro. Wait... one person uses mice from the garage? EEEWWWW!

Shipping is extremely expensive (something like $50/box no matter how many mice you order, whether it's 12 mice or 220), so if you only have a couple of snakes, you may want to see if someone in your area wants to go in halves with you to spread out the cost. That's what we do, when we're not picking up bulk rodents at reptile shows.
