feeding more make them bigger

From reading threads about feeding regimes, (obssession of mine due to Lil's problems) it seems there are various schools of thought, in particular 'power feeding' is always going to be a hot topic. I haven't been sure if the 'snake steroids' references were serious or not and just hoped it was an in joke. Surely it should be possible to have differing ideas expressed without insulting each other.
The text-speak is a pain in the behind though, I agreed with the jist of the thread that ran a couple of days ago.
So, GENTLEMEN, could you stop arguing and start discussing?

On the RI issue, I have to agree that I've seen very few babies with a problem. The only RI's I've seen in my corns have been a couple adults that came down with them after shipping stress.

I don't think that a hatchling who gets fed every 5-7 days has any stronger or weaker immune system than one fed every 3-4 days. The immune system doesn't care how fast you're growing or how big you are. Now, an underweight animal or one not in good health will have a weaker immune system, but that has little to do with feeding frequency unless you're starving the animal.

On the chat/leet speak, honestly, I quit reading after line 2 of those posts. I just don't read that stuff. I don't have to read it any more than they have to attempt to type using good grammar, punctuation, and spelling. The choice is mine and the choice is theirs. Many people simply don't read posts like that because if you can't put the effort into trying to write legibly, then there's no reason for us to take the time and effort to read it. I read leet speak much slower than normal writing and I have no intention of practicing the "skill" of deciphering that stuff. My mother taught me a bit more pride than that. People are certainly welcome to type however they choose, but if they actually want people to take the time and effort to give them comprehensive, knowledgable, and insightful answers, they may wish to consider putting a little effort into their posts. Not to come off huffy or condescending, but if someone is typing in leet/chat speak, I won't be reading it. I'll save my time and effort for answering people who try.

(Notice the word "try". No one expects 100% correct grammar and spelling, but the lack of any effort, and expecting the world to decipher it instead is rude. No one was born a skilled typist with all the rules of grammar embedded in their brains. Practice improves skills while dropping back to leet speak as a crutch deteriorates them in my humble opinion.)

How much better said that the way Hurly said it! Leet and Geek speak just sucks to read, and rarely generates much positive feedback. Don't like getting flamed for the geek chat, you need to take your own personal responsiblity for the flame. Don't want to hear about it, don't post it. Post in a fashion that the majority of people post here and your going to get the positive reaction you so dearly want!

Regards.. T and J
