feeding more then 1 pinky??

Hi!
I have heard that some people have fed their corns 2-3 pinkies.Should i give my corn more pinkies if he wants some??Can he digest more then 1 pinky?

How big is the corn? How often are you feeding it?

There are tons of threads on this very issue. Do a search for mouse size or feeding or feeding size and you'll see this question answered probably 50 times over.
 
It's really all according to the size of your hatchling and the size of the pinkie. I personally would feed the hatchling 1 pinkie and see if he has a nice size buldge after swallowing. If you can't see any buldge at all, then try another small pinkie. I have always gone with a couple "small" meals instead of one big one. I had a creamsicle that was the same age (but huge) as my blood red; he pounded down 3 at a time no problem while she only could eat one pinkie and slowly moved up to 2 when she was ready.
 
How long does it take for the bulge to go away? I fed my corn 3 just born pinkies a few days ago, but couldn't see her because she was to far into her "log". When I saw her the next day, you could not tell she ate anything. Just wondering how long the bluges last, or if she needs more to eat?
 
Wow, my nine month olds are all on hoppers. If you're feeding two fuzzies, you could probably move up.
 
I agree, most 9-10 month old corns should be at least on hopper mice already. Unless maybe they have not been fed well through out their lives and are particularly small for their age. My 7 and a half month old corn is on fuzzy rats the size of small adult mice.
 
To answer the orginal question. Like it was already mentioned, if one pinky leaves either no bulge or just a small bulge then you can move up to two pinkies or a peach fuzzy. You should not have a problem with the snake digesting mulitple prey items or one larger one.

I find that alot of people are too conservative when it comes to feeding their snakes. A healthy corn if kept in proper living conditions should not have a problem digesting a prey item that leaves a large bulge in it's midsection. Sure you don't want to feed something that leaves a HUGE lump or you might risk regurgitation, but I personally have not found it to be a problem with a meal that leaves a large lump. I have never had a snake regurgitate. Maybe I have been lucky so far but that is my experience.
 
how long does a good buldge last ?
should still be visible 12-24 hours after feeding, else he ate too little
he ate 2 days ago, and i still see a very slight buldge/lump.

what if say, i could see the a lump after... 4days ? or would a snake regurge before that would happen ? lol
