FINALLY - our first corns eggs of the year.

Snakes in designer genes
It seems like everyone else has had eggs and even hatchlings this year already, I was wondering if anyone was ever going to lay here.

So I am very pleased to have my first clutch of the year, seventeen good eggs and no slugs from my gorgeous bloodred girl. Dad is a fire, and she is het amel so fingers crossed for a little female fire for me to keep.

Congratulations on the eggs Toyah.....now the real waiting begins :grin01:

Best wishes for a 100% hatch rate and female keeper ;)

Oh I know - this part kills me worse than the wait for eggs! But at least once the eggs are laid then the worst that can happen is the eggs go bad, before laying .. well, so much worse can happen as we've seen with a couple of people on this forum having to take girls to the vet :(

I'm also waiting on royal eggs, this is my first year breeding them so it's more of an unknown than the corns, and even most fustrating as there seems to be even longer to wait with them!

I thought I'd just add some photos of the proud parents.

The mother is Strawberry, bloodred het amel:
