Finnished rack result! =)

I notice no lids on the actual tubs. When designing something like this you have to make sure that the tubs will fit extra snug right?

Not necessarily. Even professionally manufactured racks can have 1/4 inch gaps between the tubs and shelf above. I like to place a sliver of cardboard under the front of each tub to snug them up a bit. Just in case...

Whenever you build something this custom, is there ever a concern that your tub manufacturer will change dimensions on you in a few years? This could affect your ability to buy spares in the future. Do you just stock up on spare tubs now, or is it understood that certain dimensions are always offered in the plastic storage tub industry?

Well see you have to make sure you pick the right kind of tupperware to use when you build your own rack system. The tubs i used walmart will always carry. I really don't think they will ever stop selling them as those are really the main tupperwares they sell but you never know! If you want to stay on the safe side, whatever tupperware you do decide to use, make sure you stock up on them! But that's totally up to you!

My tupperware are in the rack with no lids so i made sure they are actually snugly fit so that the snakes wont get out no matter what size. I did that on purpose because i didn't want to deal with always taking the tops off each time i had to feed or clean or if i just want to play with them =)
