I got my first mating of 2008 today!

I tried putting my pair of Reverse Okeetees together but love was not in the air!

I then felt really bad for Blaze as he'd got all worked up for nothing, so decided to try my female Ghost "Beauty" with him as i know he is het for Anery.

Well as you can see it was love at first sight! He was the perfect gentleman and she was quite happy to co-operate too!

I don't know if she has any hets but I'm looking forward to seeing what this pairing will produce.

Thanks Janine, I decided to borrow your idea of a honeymoon suite and as you can see it did the trick...lol

I'm a little disappointed as after I took the first pic, the batteries in my camera died :(
So I didn't get anymore pics, but they are on charge now so maybe next time!

Glad it worked! my girls are digesting, as soon as they're done I'm putting that picture on the 'honeymoon suite' walls to see if they will get in the mood!
 
What a beautiful pair of corns! My lav lass is coming up for a shed soon so hopefully she is as cooperative as that beautiful ghost gal.

They should be some good looking hatchlings, the parents are very hot themselves :devil01: !
 
I'm actually very interested to see what you produce out of this cause I was going to try out the same morph's later this year. Keep us posted if possible.

JonnyAdam, from this pairing I'm expecting the offspring to be...

50% Normals het for Anery Hypo and Amel
50% Anery het for Hypo and Amel

This is because my Male RO is het for Anery (in other words he is Amel het for Anery) and the female is a ghost (in other words a Hypo Anery) with no known hets.

If you are breeding the two in your signature, then barring any other hets you should get something like,

100% Normals het Anery Hypo & Amel,
50% of which would be possibly het for Caramel and
50% of which would be possibly het for stripe

Update!

Well this pair mated for the first time on 3rd February, but Beauty didn't seem to be plumping up after 3 successful matings. She went into blue and I gave her a nesting box in case it was her pre-lay shed. She completed her shed on 13th March and is now starting to fill out a bit, so I'm wondering if she may just be ovulating now and has hopefully retained sperm or is close to laying but just not very big, only time will tell.

Here's a pic I took today before feeding her a medium/large mouse, which she devoured with gusto!
