First time owner triple checking some things...

if you provide the correct temps, she will go to it as necessary. Snakes like to cool off from time to time and she may seek the cool side of the cage. When she's ready to warm up she will move to the heated side.

Remember, snakes like to stay hidden as well, so if she prefers a favorite hiding place, be sure to place it directly over the heat pad. But also provide a Hiding spot on the cool side too.

I have hides on both sides and a few extras as well. So they're pretty smart with looking for heat when they need it? I was just worried it wouldn't know to burrow down to get to it

Mine burrows down when she needs or wants to for sure. Sometimes I don't understand why mine is where she is at a particular moment, but as long as my temps are good, I'll leave it up to my snake.

I don't follow the Munson plan at all. I judge my meal size based on the size of the snake, not weight. I've got almost yearlings eating almost hoppers and almost yearlings barely handling fuzzies. It all depends on the snake. I feed everything weekly - adults too. I also feed a meal that's slightly bigger around than the snake. I don't have any issues. Some grow well on the schedule and some still grow slow. It's all dependent on the snake itself.

Ok thanks guys. After my first feeding I barely seen a bulge from the pinky. So I think I'll try feeding two per week and when I run out of the 11 I have left I will see what fuzzies measure out to.

Here is a pic of my tank now after adding some more stuff. Blacked out on back and sides, added more vines, bigger warm hide and also have another for the cold eventually too, and added a paper towel roll to be a cool little cave for him. He seems to really like climbing up to that ledge in the back too. I like it, what do you guys think?

Your viv looks lovely. I always go for a Disneyland for snakes and I say you are achieving that!
