freaking out

is there cover for the snake in your feeding container? i ahve read that some snakes wont eat unless they have some cover.

another thing that might help would be to get a pair of tweesers and put the pinkie in the tweesers. shake the pinkie using the tweesers. this should trigger your snakes natural reaction, and cause him to snap at the pinkie. when doing this, DO NOT put it right in his face. would you eat a hamburger if it was attached to a crain and hitting you in the face like a wrecking ball?


also, check the temperature. i've read some snakes wont eat if it isnt warm enough.

1 more thing. when was the last time your snake ate? they should be fed once a week. im not sure about corn snakes, but the world record for a snake between meals and living was over 2 years...
 
snakes can go up to 6 months without food so long as they are not losing significant weight. make sure they have fresh water and offer a food item ever week or so but do not try to force the snake to eat.

Where did you get the information that snakes in general can go 6 monthes woithout food? Your not doing your opening rant much good..
