Well, he had his second shed ever and I wanted to document it and try out the new lens some more. And of course, I have to share too! Here's my boy!

Thanks everyone! I am getting used to this new (old) lens, and loving this guy too!

I can't get that snake out of me head Eddie; I just love the colors and markings. Did you get that snake local or online? Any contact info you could provide?

Thanks!

I'm sorry Johnny, he was a gift from a friend. There was only one gold dust stripe in the clutch though. I can tell you he came from Don Soderberg's line though. Might start there! Also check Stephen Wagner's stuff. His are stunning as well!!!

Actually, I use a Vivitar 285HV mounted backwards and aimed 45 degrees over my back. No diffuser. Now everyone knows that I have no idea what I am doing!!!

Much better than my laziness of "flash" vs "no flash". Experimenting with lighting is how you perfect it! Sometimes I'd like to see a touch more light in your photos to bring out a few more details, but I love the general darkness and almost mute calmness of them. They're awesome and definitely a style all of your own! You're creating a trademark. ;)
