Frosted Corns

Cloud 9 Corns
Ive looked and looked for frosted corns. Does anyone here have or raise them? Or does anyone know who does? If so could you email pictures of them to me at [email protected]

I would love to know any history on them as well.

What do you mean by frosted? Like the saddles? Tequila sunrises have very frosted saddles.

As far as I have heard, frosting is one of those "suspected hybrid" things. But who knows.

I've always heard that too; that frosteds were corns with some varying amounts of gray rat blood in them. I've seen very "frosted" corns that were (in theory) all corn so not every frosted may be a cross...

The Tequila Sunrise line is definitely frosted, and has always been suspected of having some rat, most likely gray in it's background...and I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the "Tequila Sunrise, the dam that started the line is an ultramel anery het hypo A, motley...

1 last one, an anery from TS line Snow X JMG line Coral Ghost...Mom is the snake on the branch above :*)

In 2000 you could find breeders/websites that sold various "frosted" corn morphs, that had varying degrees of frosting. The TS line is the only one I know of now that produces heavily frosted babies; the caveat is they are suspected frosted creams...

outcrossed frosteds...should have kept the normal, it's the only I've ever produced from the TS line...d'oh...

The unrelated ultramel's babies when bred to a TS male...the two amels were the best looking I've ever produced from a TS cross...When they shed they were beautifully colored, bordered... of course neither ate for me...

Those are super nice!! I have a female anery that has a little bit of frosting, but to my knowledge is 100% corn. I do love my tequila sunrises though! I don't care if they have rat snake in them, they're purdy :)

You could just shuck her, not sure of the necessity of corn huskers lotion but alrighty then...Maybe play a lil Husker Du in the background...

^^^My answer would be "If it's not homo anery".
But I know less and less every time a clutch hatches. I suspect it has to do with a lot of trait variables as well. Not so much a genetics as a linebred appearance thing.

Darn Cent...I'm glad you got her, but I knew I'd regret selling her ;) She's looking great, I really should do that pairing again.

Nick from what I've seen with linebred TS babies, there is no need to guess, they all frost pretty heavily. Of all the various morphs the snows seem more "extreme" but I really think they just look that way. Ryan, aka komodo_28 has a pair of TS snows that I think he's breeding this year, F1 male X his F2 daughter. I'm interested to see how that clutch varies, seeing as it will be all snows (with the possibility of hypo snows, as dad is het, daughter possibly so good luck Ryan ;) )

I'm almost 100% with you. Except of course that I would prefer if they were verified hybrids. Suspected hybrid or unknown just doesn't tickle my fancy as much as it leaves too much to speculation.

Ok I quarantee they are rat/corn crosses. Going to call me a liar? When I bought my original 1.2 Sean at VMS was adamant they were pure corn. Should I call him a liar?

I'm sorry, I see others voice their opinion and I think if their opinion is valid so is mine. If its okay for others to voice their opinion then I should be allowed the same. Or is this not the case Chris? I know you may not understand that, but I think all opinions are equally valid in as much as they are opinions. I'd rather have a snake of known hybrid origin rather than a snake of suspected or unknown origins. Thats my personal opinion. I also like hybrids and known heritage. Again, a personal quirk of mine.
