glass tank vs. plexiglass/acrylic

I have seen some really nice plexiglass/acrylic tanks at the exotic animal show. I would love to try one out, especially because you can get front loaders and ones with ventilation on the sides, but I don't want to spend the money and then not like it. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

I use appropriate sized Sterilite tubs for my snakes, easy to clean and take care of. If you only have ONE snake a nice display can be good-looking but some are a pain to clean and some aren't baby snake escape-proof.
