We hope to produce all normals when bred with the hobby caramel to establish a new landrace.

We should know for sure in a few months.
Worse case we will still have a landrace caramel and thats very important for some people like Joe and myself.

good luck to you and Joe on this project. I truley hope you guys do get all normals. Zee sent me some pics. of the offspring to the original Golden and they ressembled Caramels more so than the original Golden, but ya never know until breeding trials are done.

Thanks Walter, Like I said if nothing else we will have a landrace caramel.That in its self works for me.Its a win win either way the way I see it.

pet shop I believe?

If memory serves me it was purchased in a pet shop.I bet somebody will chime in with the facts but thats what I remember.I have been kinda out of corns for about ten years so Im trying to play catch up on all the morphs and bloodlines etc....
Up till a week ago or so I had never even heard of a redcoat or red factor or topaz or christmas or even Avalanche LOL.......

Give me a few weeks and I will be with the program.

I assumed he was involved based on his earlier post. Guess not. He's into buying unusual corns too.

All people? I've done a couple so far, and only 1 mishap occurred. I'm getting ready to send Autumn my favorite girlie ever, Cupcake. Should be good times.

Any update on the Goldens? I know this thread is more than 2 years old now, but the world is DYING to know... ;)
