Happy Pippie Day!!!

More Pippers!

Congrats!
And definitely try keep the first one out - it's a nice memento to your first success :)

That amel is gorgeous!
Thank you. Hopefully there will be more pics of her(?) to come, but right now she thinks she's a baby cobra, so I'm trying to give her a little space.

is that a piece of yolk sac still attached to the normal?

That is exactly what it is, I'm sorry to say. There are two like that, but they seem to be doing fine thanks to Kathy Love and everyone else giving us good advice on it. My daughter (who's only ten) actually started a thread about it all that can be found here: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?p=649300#post649300

There are four more hatching today, with number four coming completely out over night last night. It looks to be four classics and four amels, with one or two more yet to pip.
This first (still not clear) pic is of three of the four pipping right now. The second pic is of #3, with the last being of #4.
Thanks for looking.

Pics of 1-8, finally.........

We now have all nine babies out. They are doing great. A few even think they are baby cobras! Hopefully that's a good sign that they will eat well. Also, of the two that had a little bit of their cords still attached, one has come off completely and is now in aspen and the other just has a tiny bit left, is doing well and is in a no supstrate container with a bit of water.
Here are the pics of the first 8. Number 9 hasn't had photos yet. They aren't the best of photos, but I will do more when they shed. I'm thinking of keeping one amel (number 8 is my favorite, so far) and possibly one normal, though I have no idea yet since I don't really have a clue as to how they might possibly look as they get older. This is my first time seeing pippies, as well as my first time breeding snakes.
There are two consecutive pics of each one, in order.

Continued in next post.

These last two are of #8, my favorite baby hateling!! The pics aren't the best, but she(?) sure does have attitude. I will post of #9, the last one when I take them.
Hopefully by next year, my photography of these little ones will have improved, and maybe I'll know better than to have black nail polish worn of on my fingernails!

Thanks for looking!!
