Heating My New Snakeroom Questions....

No one wants to be the one horror story, though...

Not passing judgement... And of course no one wants something bad to happen to him/her. I just think it is interesting. My mother still calls me every Sunday with a horror story... I suppose I just choose to listen to some and refuse to listen to others (because if I listened to all of them, I'd be hiding in that same snake closet praying all day (with no space heater, of course!)).

:)

Just be careful, Eddie. You've got more to lose than just snakes.

I'm using this in my bedroom and have been very happy with it. The AC can be set to run, constantly, for a certain time period every day. (The condenser turns on and off). The heat pump can be set with its thermostat and turns on and off. I'm not particularly using it for snakes, though, it's for me, so I don't have to make the rest of the house the temp I like. It's safe enough to have a mode for an uninhabited building, though.

Careful is always good! At the moment, it is the ceramic space heater mentioned in the previous post set to low-draw, thermostat (internal) set about 1/3 of the way -- separate thermostat set to 81 with shut off -- heavy duty power strip (with shut off) -- outlet -- fuse box. That's four safety valves for a ceramic heater set on low! Certainly not careless, at least!
